We have recently changed the default for the Favourites box in the MyImperial Library tab so that it contains one link to the library website.
This default will automatically be available to new MyImperial users but existing users should click on the personalise icon and Restore defaults to see the change.
You can also click on Add to include your own bookmarks to favourite library web pages, e-journals, databases, etc.

You might have seen this poster up around the Central Library. During February, we are trialling a Text an Attendant service, which will allow you to send a text if you are being disturbed in a quiet or silent study area, and we will do our best to investigate. All you need to do is text your location e.g. level 4 journals or level 2 PCs to 020 7594 8883.

- From Saturday 23 June, short and standard loans may be borrowed on request by all borrowers until Tuesday 2 October, providing there are still 4 copies in the library.
- You must ask if you want any books issued for the vacation, otherwise the usual loan periods will apply.

Shelf replacement work on level 2 at the Central Library is now complete and the floor is open as usual. This means that the previously inaccessible books on environment, maths, computing and some areas of physics are now available for borrowing again.

A quick reminder: Level 2 of the Central Library will be closed from Sunday 3 July until Sunday 7 August. If you would like to borrow a book from that part of the collection (000 – 532), then please do so before the closure. For further information, please see the news post on the Library website.

A health and safety inspection has revealed that some of the old wooden shelving on Level 2 is unstable and consequently it will be replaced this summer. At the same time the configuration of the metal shelving will be changed and the floor will be given a new concrete screed and new carpet.
Unfortunately this means that books with classmarks 000 to 532 will be unavailable from Monday 4 July until Monday 8 August. This includes books on environmental economics, EIA, environmental policy, environmental reports, energy policy, law and climate change as well as maths, computing and some physics.
Books which are out of circulation due to the work can be requested via Document Delivery and will not be counted against your annual allocation
